The urge to restore the Nineveh Churches

Many Nineveh Churches were completely destroyed by Islamic State, most of them burnt or badly damaged. Up to now, about 400 churches and Christian sites without counting those in Mosul city that were among the most antique Churches in Mesopotamia.

Save the Monasteries is promoting the restoration of the Old Tahira Church in Qaraqosh with its antique stone Aramaic inscriptions.
