Richiesta di Save the Monasteries al Presidente Mattarella, a Papa Francesco, al Presidente Conte, al Cardinale Bassetti, al Cardinale De Donatis, per l’Apertura delle Chiese per la Santa Pasqua 2020 con opportunità per i fedeli di partecipare alle funzioni, applicando le misure di prevenzione già in uso in altri ambiti per l’emergenza sanitaria in corso.
Save the Monasteries ha recentemente promosso un Appello per la Santa Messa http://www.savethemonasteries.org/appello-per-la-santa-messa/ ed in data 30/03/20 ha indirizzato una lettera in cui sottopone alla valutazione delle massime Autorità ecclesiali e civili le seguenti questioni:
1) il grande desiderio da parte di molti credenti di poter partecipare alle funzioni, tanto più vista la gravità del periodo, ed in concomitanza con la Santa Pasqua,
2) il ritenere che tale partecipazione debba essere equiparata ed ufficialmente riconosciuta alla stregua di una reale necessità cogente come provvedere alla spesa o recarsi in farmacia,
3) il convincimento che la città di Roma abbia il dovere di mantenere in atto la sua tradizione cristiana in unione con il suo popolo, quale segno e modello per l’intera Chiesa, provocandosi altrimenti una caduta di fede e di appartenenza ecclesiale, di identità storica, di eredità culturale, di immagine mondiale, con conseguenze irreparabili.
Elisabetta Valgiusti, Presidente di Save the Monasteries, confida che tale richiesta venga accolta ed auspica che la celebrazione della Santa Pasqua con la partecipazione dei fedeli nelle Chiese restituisca speranza al mondo.

Save the Monasteries transmitted its request to President Mattarella, to Pope Francis, to President Conte, al Cardinale Bassetti, regardind the Opening of the Churches during the coming Holy Easter allowing the participation of the faithful in the public Church services, applying the preventive measures already adopted in other activities for the present health emergency .
Last week , Save the Monasteries promoted an Appeal for the Holy Mass http://www.savethemonasteries.org/appello-per-la-santa-messa/ Lately Save the Monasteries sent a letter to the highest ecclesial and civil authorities submitting the following issues :
1) the great desire on behalf of many faithful to be able to attend the church services, , especially given the seriousness of the period, and in conjunction with Holy Easter,
2) the consideration that such a participation of faithful must be equated and officially recognized as a real urgent need such as shopping or going to the pharmacy,
3) the belief that the city of Rome has the duty to maintain its Christian tradition in union with its people, as a sign and model for the whole Church, otherwise causing a fall of faith and ecclesial association , historical identity , cultural heritage, world-wide image, with irreparable consequences.
Elisabetta Valgiusti, President of Save the Monasteries, expects this request will be welcome and wishes that the public celebration of Holy Easter with the participation of the faithful in the churches will give back hope to the world.
